theres maybe a couple of producers up there that could be considered dubstep, but you're wrong. they're 2-step or garage. surely you can tell by the beat compostion that these tunes differ to dubstep. try doing a bit of research before you start preaching.

Very pleased to find this thread. Opening post is bang on, Dubstep needs some time off to get it's head straight in my opinion.
Garage is what originally got me into good music and I believe that a great deal of newer music/genres have taken a lot from it. A lot of people turn their noses up at garage but love, say, dubstep and house of various varieties without realizing it's history.
I'm sure lots will think bad of me for this but I have developed a taste for the (for want of a more accurate description) bassline scene. Although only the odd few tunes.
